
Britton Timbers comprises timber harvesting, processing, manufacturing and distribution operations for export and
domestic sales of quality timber products from its Tasmanian operations. This is achieved with a worldwide export division based in Melbourne
and national distribution centres in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Britton is a name that has been synonymous with sawmilling and the timber industry ever since Britton Bros Pty Ltd was established
in the Blackwood rich swamplands of North West Tasmania. In 1907, two brothers Mark and Elijah Britton came to Tasmania in search of
prime farm land. After realising the value of large stands of timber they turned their trade to sawmilling, surviving the Great Depression,
